Private Sessions Terms of Service
Please carefully read the following information, which constitute the terms of service offered by me, Hector B, to you, the client.
Responsibility for changeWhile I will do everything possible to support you in achieving your own results and desired outcomes, the responsibility for change rests entirely with you.
I will work with you to identify solutions and offer suggestions, options and training based on my own personal experience, training and the information you give me.
All decisions and courses of action you take are entirely yours and you accept full responsibility for such decisions and actions. You should always carefully evaluate the consequences of various options and act accordingly including where appropriate, seeking professional advice prior to taking any actions.
By accepting these Terms of Service, you hereby agree and acknowledge that I am NOT a medical professional or licensed psychologist. For issues with medical or psychological conditions, you acknowledge that my input is to be considered just that: input, rather than a medical or psychological diagnosis or directive. Before taking any action that could affect your physical or psychological health, please consult with a medical professional.
You agree to release me from any liability arising from your actions, behaviors, mental or emotional states.
Current or past treatmentsYou warrant that you do not have a history or current diagnosis of mental illness. Further, you warrant that if you are currently undergoing therapy or treatment of any kind by a medical doctor or licensed therapist, that you have gained the express written permission of your therapist of medical doctor.
If you cannot make these warrants, you have an obligation to inform me of any such history or current diagnosis so we can discuss whether private sessions are the most appropriate avenue for you.
If at any time, I believe that therapy is more appropriate for your situation, I reserve the right to cancel your private sessions and refer you to an appropriate licensed therapist. All unused payment for private sessions will be refunded.
Payment termsFull payment for the private sessions are due before the first session takes place. Only in exceptional circumstances, I may be able to accommodate other payment arrangements.
You can pay with all major credit / debit cards and PayPal.
Unused sessionsIf you achieve the results you wanted sooner than expected (which tends to happen more often than not), you have two options for your remaining sessions:
- You can keep the remaining sessions "on hold", so that you can have them in the future, when you need a bit of help. Most people choose this option.
- You can donate the unused sessions to someone who can't afford private sessions
Cancellation policyAll cancellations require a 24-hour minimum notice.
"No shows" and late startIf you are not present within 15 minutes of the session's scheduled starting time, that will be considered a "no show." In the event of a no show, the session will be considered as taken.
If you arrive late, the session will nevertheless conclude at the end of the appointed hour.
Refund policyYou can request a full refund after the first session (including that session), if you have booked 5 or more sessions and do not want to continue. However, you must let me know by email within 24 hours after the initial session. Failure to do so will result in the cost for the first session at the pro-rata rate being deducted from the refund.
Also, please note:
- There are no refunds available on single sessions if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice.
- After 30 days no refunds will be given.
- The sessions can be saved for up to 12 months from the date of the first private session.
- Unused sessions may be gifted to a friend or family member, provided I deem that person is suitable for private sessions.
If there is any aspect of these terms that you are not comfortable with, please let me know and do not book a private session yet.
